The maps I made on the first couple days have a list by color for everyone except your house here

You can expand into neutral territories at the cost of 1 action point, if you roll a 4+, yes.

So you can roll for it or buy it? Or do you get for A points per turn and it stockpiles over time?

I guess "buying" is just another way to say conquer, at least in the mechanics-wise.

Backstory is that world is ruled by Church and Imperial Throne. Imperial Throne is dying and so it's selling land to cover costs.

So fluff-wise, you're either conquering land or buying it.

FireBlaze had a pretty sweet idea, to use gold to build a canal connecting the great lake river basin to the ocean somehow.

I think we should allow it, but I would think it would cost a little more than 2 gold. 5g? 10g?

Rules question. Since attacks at the moment require adjacent provinces, how would someone attack black's or my island if they wished to do so?

I would assume anyone with ocean access could (No, that's not the reason for the Canal). But you would get like a +25% bonus to defense rolls.

Would you want to dissolve the Anralette provinces or would someone like to run that country as the new Commentern?

figure it could go either way, and he is supposed be dissolved yesterday I believe

Edit: I would have no problem just absorbing these provinces and writing fluff.
IE acting like normal expansion with kick ass fluff.

With the rebel front that you've talked about, it would be interesting to make them still as an opposing nation, but have their rolls -25% naturally. Just to make things a bit more interesting.

Take your turn as normal, but mention in your post you are declaring war,

stating both a reason for the war and terms of surrender on part of the defending nation.

Next turn, you can use your actions on attacks.
